After Spring 2009, Cadilliac will cease production on the XLR. Dealerships continue to place orders and the last one will be built at the Bowling Green, Kentucky production factory. The retractable hardtop XLR and XLR-V are the most expensive models Cadillac has to offer and each engine is hand assembled by one person. The XLR engine closely resembles that of a Corvette’s, but it never surpassed its competitor in sales.
