Chrysler is doing what it needs to get consumers to buy their product. In February, Chrysler reached in their own pockets and spent more than any other automaker on incentives such as rebates and low-interest financing. These buyer rewards and a planned deal that would combine Fiat with Chrysler has the car maker optimistic about surviving the auto-buying slump that is effecting our American automakers. “Who knows how long we’re going to be in this?” Chrysler LLC Vice Chairman Jim Press asked. “This is going to be a year, two years, or longer. So we’ve got to find a ways to try and manage through this and that’s what we’re doing.”
